Welcome to the web site of DEEP—a research consortium aimed at reducing exposure to diesel exhaust in underground mining.

In the period of 1997-2002, DEEP conducted a number of research projects related to the measurement and control of diesel emissions in underground mines. In an attempt to make it available to the entire mining community, we developed a series of technology transfer documents which describe our experience in plain English.

While the DEEP research program has been completed, we intend to maintain this web site for several years to enable sharing of our experience over the internet.
